Attending your initial post fitting follow up appointments is crucial to the success of your hearing aid fitting. It is also important to visit us annually so we can monitor your progress, make any adjustments to the hearing aids & address any concerns you may have. Historically, a lot of hearing aids have ended up in drawers - don't let this
happen to you! When this happens it is typically due to a very simple problem
that can easily be solved by working with the Audiologist in the clinic.
If you are not wearing your hearing aid or you are not happy with any aspect
of it please let us know. We can't help you if we don't know you're in need.
It is recommended you come and see us at least once a year; this allows us to
do the following:
- Ensure that you are happy with the hearing aids and most importantly that
they are helping you hear and improving your lifestyle.
- Addresses any concerns or questions you may have about your hearing health
care.
- Make any adjustments to the hearing aids.
- Clean and check the hearing aids for you.
- Reassess your hearing and needs if these have changed.
- Advise you of any advances in technology or hearing research.
Of course if you would like to see us more regularly we are more than happy
to oblige. If there is anything we can do to improve your lifestyle and
communication through the use of hearing aids please let us know.
